Meggie ran her first track race when she was eight years old and hasn’t stopped her love to compete since. In 2019, Meggie achieved a top 200 IAFF world ranking and top 60 USA rank in the 1500 meters. She was Central Park Track Club’s  women's track captain and a Director on its Board for three years. Meggie currently runs for New York City’s Empire Elite Track Club, and represents Diadora.

Meggie is also a private running coach and  mentor for youth runners. The first athlete under her tutelage, Naomi Gomel, became a mutliple qualifier for the USATF Youth National Championships and podium finisher at the USATF Youth State Championships. She has also coached Dominga Rivera, a top NYC high school runner who will attend NYU and broke multiple school recrods at The Marymount School.

Meggie has also previously coached middle and high school athletes at the Dalton School and the Windward School in Los Angeles. She has also served as a volunteer coach at Columbia University and Iona College.

In October 2020, Meggie started a youth running club in Inwood, New York. The group, built by the parents of the children, was super fun crew of 10-15 year olds that met weekly to escape virtual online schooling, get outside and connect through running in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She currently privately coaches a few athletes in New York City.
